Concert season is here! With artist Ariana Grande, The Weekend and Neil Diamond all hosting concerts here in Atlanta, we are sure to have a jam packed season. One of the most anticipating concerts this spring, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They will be performing at Philips Arena this Friday, April 14th! Get ready to reminisce with songs from their greatest hits like ‘Otherside’ and ‘Californiacation’ along with new music from their recently released album, “The Getaway”. Babymetal, a Japanese teen metal trio be opening for the iconic band. Both bands have previously toured together so you can say this pairing works! Are you headed to the concert? We have a soccer team! Atlanta United is the new addition to the city of Atlanta and they scored big with fans over the weekend with an amazing 6-1 win against Minnesota United. Anyone that plays away from home, in the snow and in shorts has our undivided attention and support! Built as an expansion team, they have proved that not all expansion teams are built the same. Although their first match against New York Red Bulls didn’t end with a win, Atlanta United has shown great strengths as a new team. Let’s not leave out the abundance of loyal fans they already have! We cannot wait to see what this season has in stored for the team and this city! Go Atlanta United!

The new virtual game, set to be released March 23, 2017, is created for gamers looking to experience the fantasy of performing live on stage in front of sold out crowds. Not only that, there are working effects that allow you to interact with your bandmates as well as the ability to bang on the drummer’s cymbal with your guitar. Who said dreams can’t come true?! There are three songs confirmed for the Rock Band VR; Aerosmith “Walk this way”, The Killers “When you were gone” and Paramore “Ain’t it funny”. Total, there will be 60 songs on the soundtrack. After 146 years, the curtains will be coming down for “The Greatest Show on Earth”. The month of May will be the last month for Ringling Bros., after that the show will be done FOREVER! Many factors played into the ending of the iconic circus act, from high operation costs to prolonged battles with animal rights groups. Although a staple of entertainment in the U.S since the mid-1800’s, attendance to the show has declined in the past 10 years, adding just one more factor to the decision of bringing the show to its final end. They have their last show in Atlanta on Wednesday, February 15th at 7:30pm. Will you be attending?
The blockbuster saga Pirates of the Caribbean is back! The fifth installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, will be action packed with the return of Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Captain Salazar. After a 6-year hiatus, it is anticipated that the film will have the same impact in movie theatres as before if not more! Three months away and anxiously awaiting, Game-X can entertain our pirate fascination with a game of Dead Storm Pirate! The new film hits theatres May 2017.
Making the switch to Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch, a brand-new game consul, is set to be release March 3, 2017. You read it right, Nintendo! This new consul with have touch screen capability as well as controllers with motion control capability and Amiibo support. With a battery life of 2.5 to 6.5 hours, Nintendo Switch is set to become the new on-the-go gaming device. Many games including some old classics like Mario, have been announced to be supported by Switch. Although release dates have not yet been set, a recognizable and popular Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is said to be released on the same day as the consul itself. This all sounds exciting! Retailing at $300 in the U.S, will you be making the Switch?

The Atlanta Falcons went “all out, all game, all season” and made it to the playoffs! It’s going to be a crazy, fun and exciting weekend here in Atlanta this Saturday, January 14th as the #2 Falcons take on #3 Seahawks in the Divisional Round. Game starts at 4:35pm at the Georgia Dome. Seattle with a defense-first team and Atlanta with the best offense calls for a great matchup.

Chinese Lantern Festival comes to an end January 15th. Don’t miss out on hand-crafted lanterns, a three-story pagoda and everyone’s favorite… the 200-foot-long Chinese dragon. If these amazing creations weren’t enough, there is also nightly entertainment featuring acrobatics, dancers, theatre and more.
